So I restarted reading Mein Kampf again. It's an interesting read, I just don't really have time for it, yet I find time to update my lj.
Anyway, so I just had to share the great books I bought yesterday at Barnes and Noble! They're closing soon, so they have tons of books on sale. I bought the following:
History Spark Notes: The Cold War
The Confessions of St. Augustine
Berlin Diary by William L. Shirer
The Hitler Virus: The Insidious Legacy of Adolf Hitler
I bought them all for just under 17 bucks, which is great. I can't wait till classes are done so I can actually start reading them. I'm trying to plan ahead and buy book now, 'cause I want a nice collection when I start teaching. This kinda reminds me of Alistar Cook, and the bookshelf he had in his videos, haha. I hope people know what I'm talking about!
My dad came home today, and we're all being extra cautious 'cause his immune system is really, really low, so he's very susceptible to infections. He has to wear a mask if there are too many people around. He warned us that he might be saying weird things 'cause he's appreciate life more. I mean, not that he didn't before, but it's just weird how he's changed in the past week. It hadn't really hit him yet that he has cancer until he went through this type of chemo. He's got a good attitude about things, which is great. I hope everything goes well!!
