Results
Yesterday, I had Pakistani food (not the first time, but now I am a bit more educated) and went to Pars and a few other interesting grocery stores with a friend. Picked up some odds and ends and now also own an ibrik and explict directions on it's uses.
Sometimes I have fantasies about the interesting things I will be able to cook when/if I live in the city again. I am such a nerd. It's also good to note that Brookhaven in Mokena has pretty good prices on some stuff in comparison.
Saw the Ottoman map exhibit at the Oriental Institute. It was small, but very good.
Then there was dinner with another party, which became dinner and drinks and bad movies until very late. We watched the second Hostel (glad I am not the only one who is amused by this) and the European answer to Jackass, which was definately more irreverant and disgusting, though I can't exactly say I watched the American version anyhow, but that is certainly my impression, given what we consider entertainment.
I got home well after I should have been in bed, which means I slept all day.
Which also means I should stop fucking around on teh internets and get something done.
