Character: Sasame.
Character Age: 19 or 20.
Series:
Prétear.
Canon: Himeno Awayuki lives a fairy tale. Thanks to her father's marriage she has gone from penniless to practically living in a castle. Not only can they afford real food now, but Himeno finds herself surrounded by seven charming young men ranging from cute to totally hot. Unfortunately for her, this fairy tale life comes with two not-so-kind stepsisters, a cruel stepmother and a pressing urge to save the world from eternal darkness. Luckily those seven young men aren't dwarfs -- they're Leafe Knights and with their help Himeno can become the Pretear and triumph over evil.
Sasame is one of the Leafe Knights, more specifically he's the Knight of Sound. Not only is he one good looking dude who always seems to know the right thing to say but he's also a radio personality. When Sasame isn't doing knightly stuff like protecting Himeno he's dispensing Dear Abby-esque advice and touching the hearts and minds of people everywhere through speech and song over the radio. He's a bit of a flirt and in general his mood is cheerful and supportive. Sasame also tends to roll with the punches, maintaining his good humor even in awkward situations.

Hello and "Hi", to both our regular listeners and our new listeners who are Stateside! For those who don't know today is a very special Sasame's Wise Gate. Since the cold weather is beginning to melt away and hopefully winter grudges are going with it we've temporarily moved locations! I've been told everything is bigger in the South and I have to say, wow, our studio is practically an entire cabin! I hope everyone enjoys this Spring US Edition of Sasame's Wise Gate! Please thank our sponsor, Miss Elizabeth Sayre for extending her generosity and opening her heart to us.
Now, our first letter comes from "C. Howard Lee Lurker" in Cefud, Louisiana, ah! That's where we're recording from. It's a small world after all. He writes saying that lately he's felt a little overloaded. Everything around him feels like its moving slow and sluggishly, even his relationships. While he has a lot of connections sometimes when he looks for a helping hand it feels like that connection has just timed out. He says that it's like trying to be refreshing and only ending up with a bunch of dead notifications, while the only replies that go through demand his money. That sounds like a tough place to be in, C, not to mention a lonely and frustrating one.
This sounds like a pretty complicated problem. You don't need me to say that you should stand up and be erect in the face of fear. If I just said "That's all right, life can be great, even when you're down on your knees" that's not really enough. Being together with other people can be intimidating. If it's too hard then it can become difficult to just lie back and relax. Sometimes we want to just run away. But remember that changing locations doesn't change who we are. Being true to yourself can be hard, but take a look around you. I'm sure that there is someone who has a friendly face and would say to you, "I'm glad you've come."
Aah, it looks like we're just about out of time for today's show. I want to thank you again for listening in to Sasame's Wise Gate and I hope that you'll do so again. Please don't worry if you didn't hear your letter on the air today, we'll get to them all eventually. Oh! I should also mention that we'll have a very special guest with us tomorrow. I'm sure some of you have heard of her, your very own Marcy. While I probably don't know her as intimately as you might, I've been told that she's a lot to take in and that we're going to have our hands full. It should be interesting, so please tune in!
