Lucifer Rising

The finale is here! And what a finale!

I agree with the consensus that says that the start was a bit slow. It was not so much slow as much not fast enough. We’re used to these power packed finales where so much is happening that we can’t get a single breath in, so compared to that this might seem slow.

Anyway let’s start at the start. Predictable. I’d be surprised if it was something other than Carry On My Wayward Son, we’ve come to expect it since the first season and playing that song means look out, things are going to happen. And I wasn’t disappointed in anyway. I liked the montage (recap) better in fact.

Well good of Sam to realize that there’s no going back. Atleast he’s not twisted enough to think that you know forgiveness would be easy, and justify it by saying he was never in the wrong, cause you are Sammeh, you so are. Just how much, we’ll know later.

Wow, I kind of missed not having Bobby in this episode. I know he was there but he was there, just like the song is there. Because it’s tradition and nothing else. Considering all the crazy hinting that had been going on all of last week, I was expecting Bobby being the one to die.

I liked that he called Dean on his shit, lol. While Dean is completely correct to think the way he does, Bobby is right. A family is supposed to make you miserable. I found that entire piece entirely true and completely hilarious! Boohoo, princess. :P

I would have liked to have known Bobby’s reaction at Dean suddenly disappearing and actually missing out all the action.

Moving on, can Dean listen to himself? He called Sam exactly like Dad, but he’s literally using John’s words. Good of Bobby to call him out on that.

I’ve always thought Zach was an ass. Kripke is out to ruin everything people believe about angels with Uriel and Zach. And Zach’s demonlier than Azazel or even Uriel. What was with all the pimping? 2 virgins and 70 sluts? EW. And I’d really like to know what he meant by God has left the building. Is he telling us that God can’t even control what are supposed to be his faithful servants? C’mon, seriously! And who’s exactly the senior management? Archangels? God’s most faithful? Loopholes, people.

I got some of Castiel’s behavior but mostly I didn’t. He said he serves God, but obviously, this is not what God wants. And is he so scared of the other Angels that he is following them knowing its wrong? If he’s ready to invite the wrath of the archangel then he mustn’t be, right? I don’t get it. But I’m just glad he grew a backbone when he did.

Teehee, to bringing Dean’s favorite foods in his chamber, the angels do know him well, lol. And yay to Dean not being tempted by it. And why do the angels keep rubbing him about breaking the first seal? He didn’t know about it, stupid. He was being tortured so shoot him for taking the easy way out. I know Dean feels helluva guilty about it which is why he doesn’t say anything but I wish the angels would quit ragging on him, considering they are depending on him.

It was nice to see that Sam had still somewhat of a conscience left that he didn’t wanna torture and kill the poor girl. But he’s also pretty stupid to not see through Ruby’s snide smiles. Bozo!

Aw, I knew Dean can never be mad on Sam for long; it was so cute of him to send that message even if it was twisted in the most disgusting way possible.

Hahahahahaha, my favorite moment in the show was Dean’s oopsie face! He acts like a 5 year old by dropping that angel statue purposely and then when he sees Cas, he gets the most adorable look on his face. I rewinded three times to see him do that, rofl.

And Castiel had been reduced to babysitting Dean. I think Castiel reached new lows in this episode before redeeming himself in the end. I didn’t like him for most of it.

Now about the message. I feel as if that was a large loophole in the episode. I don’t think Ruby has the juice to twist a message like that. But from her prodding and snide smile, it seemed as if she’d done it. But then Zach said that Sam might need nudging and Dean manages to get through to him before his coverage being lost makes me think it was Zach manipulating them. And I don't think Ruby and the Angels were working together. So yeah, I think the writers needed to be clearer about that.

And we come to the discussion between Dean & Zach. It was nothing we already didn’t know. I even thought that the whole thing about needing Dean wasn’t really true, just a ploy to get him away from Sam, put a barrier between them. Until he told Dean’s part in it and I was like “Holy shit!” As a Dean fan, I squeed a bit at Dean’s all important purpose but mostly, I was appalled. I mean this went from being a show about brothers to a Sam show till around mid-season 3 to being an only Dean show since. Dean needs to kill Lucifer. What rubbish! Why? Why is he suddenly so special? What happened to your scary Archangels? And if they in anyway continue to suggest Dean as an angel, I’ll shoot someone. Mostly Kripke, because this whole stupid thing does not make any sense to me right now.

Also the angels supposedly didn’t know what Azazel’s endgame was. But after Lilith started breaking the seals, didn’t it kind of get obvious? Then why did Cas question that in ‘In the Beginning’? Or even send him back? Because none of those revelations seemed relevant to the show as I see it. He also asked Dean to stop Sam before he does, before they do, but they wanted Sam to break the final seal, so why stop him? And if someone tells me it was just an elaborate plan to create trouble between the brothers, I’ll bash ones of the writer’s head in. Because it makes no sense!

I was happy to see Dean question Castiel’s motives. Someone really needed to do that. Because Cas has been crazily contradicting himself all season. He needs someone to jolt him back into the game. And it was good to see Cas think it out and come back but his timing was poor, lmao. Dean finally gave in to the temptation of food, and Cas just came and took him away from his first love. :D I first got kinda scared when Castiel cut his hand, it was very John Constantine, but I thought he was gonna go the Ruby way and get Dean to have some of it, to make him strong or something. That would have been creepy! But then when he made the trap or whatever it’s supposed to be, I’ve never loved Castiel more. My baby! *kisses*

They went to Prophet Chuck who was ordering himself twenty sluts, is that ironic or what? Although a totally understandable sentiment for someone who knows the end is near. My favorite quote of the episode comes here. “We’re making it up as we go.” Oh Cas, you’re pure love now. But I didn’t get why an Archangel would attack them. They were in no way harming the prophet. But I loved when Chuck puts a soothing hand on Cas’s shoulder and he gives him a look which kind of scares Chuck away. Nobody touches Castiel but Dean. :P

And now the final moments. Seeing Sam actually hearing Dean’s screams over everything, his own heartbeat was a moment for the history books. That’s how much they love each other. But Lilith obviously goads him before Dean can stop him and whoops, she’s dead.

Ruby. I’ve been saying it from the very start, she was evil and in cahoots with Azazel. I was so bloody spot on and I love it. I rock, lol. While it became pretty obvious in the finale, I had seen it all along, and I bloody well want a cookie for that.

It was nice how the boys came together to end her and I can’t tell you how ecstatic I am to see her go. But too late, Sammy, you should have let Dean kill her when he wanted. It might have prevented this. This being the final seal being broken and Lucifer finally rising. Lucifer rose while the boys held hands or each other was so completely cute. Then everything went white, from the shocked faces, to the screen.

It’s the end guys and it’s gonna be a bitch of a break!
