001 ~ Hisoka introduces himself to his crewmates [Text / Open]

For those of you whom I haven't met, I'm Lieutenant Hisoka Kurosaki, your newest gunner.

I arrived on the mail plane a half-hour ago. We were just passing Neery's Point, a town on a little spur of coast opposite and to the southeast of Kropmork. Cumulus mountains are building over the Badlands peaks, and all down the Nihl river valley as well. There's weather coming, but so far it's a beautiful afternoon. I'm in the skies again, and for the moment, I am not shooting at anybody, nor are they shooting at me. Us.

Thanks to Admiral von Karma for this appointment, and to all who were helpful to me on the deck a little while ago.

I was wondering why the sudden promotion, when after all I left my first ship, Mary Rose, under such a cloud. We all did, those of us who came away alive. That sort of thing doesn't go away in a year, I don't think. Yet, two days ago, they practically flung me off Adrasteia, congratulating me with...such shifty-eyed fervor...
