And she is FINISHED!!! AAAHHHHHHH!!!
With just over 2 days 'till Expo, I am now just adding the finishing touches to the rest of Nero's props and accessories. But the Bringer...? Is DONE!! :D
So,
creatoremagico visited this past weekend and I essentially used him as my human mannequin for his whole visit. What a good sport. xP
As soon as he arrived I wrapped his right arm in cotton wool, cling film and tin foil and pulled the glove over it. I wanted the opening of the glove to be a bit wider than my actual arm, so it would be easier to slide it on and off, so the cotton wool was for padding. It worked.
The glove was then slathered in about 3 coats of liquid latex, (texture added to the scales using sand, cork and grit) and left to dry until the next day.
And then the painting started. Bit by bit.
First the scales..
Then the hide...
Next was the shading on the scales. That was fun. :D
Squiggles and a bit of hide-shading, too.
And then I made this video, lol.

And that was fun. xP
And then, finally, at about 11:30pm last night... I finished!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Bending my arm at the elbow is about the ONLY movement I can make with the glove on. The paint has ALREADY started to crack a little in certain places, so I'm gonna have to be SUPER careful this weekend, haha.
Eventually I am gonna want to remake this and consider using an airbrush to try and get a slightly more flexible paint coverage, but... meh. I'm super happy with this for now.
Yaye. :D
