watched the second Sherlock episode - and it made clear why I did not really like the last episode. This is more what cases should be like.... because ... when I think about it, 3/6 episodes will have moriarty (and 1 adler). Considering the books, that's weighed away from 'normal' cases quite heavily..... maybe they think it's better for tv?
And the thing is, I really don't like this moriarty. doesn't work for me, how these episodes play out with him.
So I like this episode better than the moriarty/adler ones, although there was something disturbing me here, too. And again, it's helpful seeing other people's reactions. The strangeness of the
mind palace thing and, leading to an"AHA" moment for me: thoughts from
marie. I think that's (a big) part of what left me a bit uneasy - what caused stuff to sometimes not fit right - even though visually it did nicely. I won't rewatch for a while, but it seems to make more sense then.
- and boy, did they throw in a lot of canon references and slashy allusions. "Mine snores." ahaha. Loved those. of course.
