i'd be more concerned with the imminent civil unrest once israel stops the bombing. this is going to polarize the lebanese population even more, with half calling for hezbollah's demise and the other half supporting hezbollah (largely because the shiite are pretty much ignored by the christian/sunni/druze leadership and have nearly no economic or political power aside from hezbollah). lebanon is still a perfect recipe for civil war and most beirutis are too busy shopping and drinking and trying to forget the past to realize it.
How are things in Damascus? Are they as weirdly calm as in Aleppo?
