The sun was shining and the sky was perfect. Not too many clouds, but the right amount to make the sky look like blue marble. The wind was gently blowing on their faces and it rustled through their hair. Everywhere they went, everything, no matter how ugly, was more beautiful than they could ask for.
They walked for many blocks and talked about everything and nothing at the same time. At times there seemed to be an awkward air around them, but it was slowly starting to be alleviated. Someone suggested they find a place to sit to talk about what was on their minds.
They found their way to a bench outside of a bakery and sat there. They let the sun enter their minds and their hearts and warm them. Everything was starting to congregate around what was on their minds. Finally, it was brought up. The awkward air came spilling back stronger than ever before. There was not a lot of talking at first, but they finally came around to it. Once everything was out in the open, the awkwardness began turning into an understanding and things were just slightly more bearable.
They decided to walk some more. They eventually found themselves on the railroad tracks. Walking along the tracks, they talked more and more. The more they talked, the more comfortable they became. Eventually, they found themselves back at the one's house. They sat there, ate food, and talked some more.
After a while, they decided to go to the park. They got a ride there. They walked a little bit and found a nice spot on a hill where they could sit, facing the sun, and let the breeze cool their spirits.
They rekindled their conversation which had previously amassed an unwanted amount of uneasiness, only this time there was no uneasiness. Everything was comfortable. They both knew what was on the other's mind and it was not awkward. Everything had become rather comfortable. There were plenty of silent moments in the duration of their conversation at the park-many more than there were at the bench in front of the bakery and on the walk. Instead of being awkward, these silences were comfortable. They both knew it. They had both verbalized their comfort, and they were both in agreement.
At the park, everything became comfortable and nothing else. They were let into each other's minds and caught a glimpse of something extraordinary.
The sun was running quickly toward the horizon, so they decided to head on back to the one's house. They walked for what seemed like an eternity and continued to talk. They eventually made it back, but they did not go inside. They sat out on the back porch and continued to talk. They talked for what seemed like another eternity.
They looked up at the stars for a little while, but not too much. The city lights blocked out many stars, and clouds began rolling into the sky. It was nothing that dampened their moods, though. They found their stars and took advantage of what little bit of their beauty was shining through.
They finally had to part. What was to become one of the most memorable days was ending, and neither of them minded one bit. They knew what had just happened and they were anxious as to what was going to happen. They had not let any moment of that day slip through their hands. They had both become stronger people throughout the duration of the day with all of the mental exertions that had to endure, and they knew it.
The day ended for both of them in the same simple, but beautiful, way. They laid their heads down on their pillows and closed their eyes. They dreamed many dreams of subconscious wonderment brought to life through their awesome imaginations. Their wishes came true in their dreams, and they loved it. Their lives had been changed in more ways than one, and they knew it. The only thing they needed was time to see where their changed lives were going to lead them, and they were pleased with the way things were starting. They were hopeful for the future.
