Lots of stuff going on keeping me busy busy busy...
I need to find a car

Not looking forward to car shopping... It should be fun but I don't know anything about cars. I am a Jeep person, Wrangler in particular and they are so darned expensive, but so darned worth it!! I miss standard transmission and being able to see and um, park. I can never see in those cars with the high back seats and windows so curved you barely see anything out of them, or at least it seems that way when you are short! I just don't think a jeep is in my budget at this time... sigh
And I need to work some sort of budget out too... What fun is that?
I took in two hatchling turtles and they are in danger of passing away. One is getting better but not out of the woods and the other worries me. Hasn't given up but hasn't eaten on her own. I have been feeding her with a syringe and as she eats more she gets a little stronger, though she has yet to even open her eyes. So worried. I think she needs antibiotics or a vitamin A shot. They can go blind if the eye problems aren't taken care of, usually a sign of poor husbandry but how could I say no to them? Dr. Roberts is out of town and I talked to 2 vets at All Creatures... one said bring her in although it might be too late and the other said I sound very knowledgeable and that I know what I am talking about and seem to know what I am doing, said just try to feed her... suggested the force feeding but I had to do that on a much larger turtle!! This one I just squirt the food in her mouth so she has to swallow on her own... prevents me from having to go in past the trachea and possibly rupture the gi tract if i push too much in... she is just that small, barely bigger than a quarter! I guess I want to get as much food in her as I can before we start a stressful treatment of antibiotics (which also often suppresses appetite) Plus even if i could find my feeding tuble it would be way way way too big!
But enough nuances of turtle care... I really feel so much compassion and love for these little creatures... I look at my mega huge sliders and I tell them, this is your destiny, this is what you can become!! I am trying to convince them to get big and strong... I just hope it works!
And lots of work to do on the RARE event front... need flyers completed this week, took some pics of pineapple to see if i can use him, but it might not work for black and white. If I do black and white I can make some at work and that will save some $$$ on printing expenses... I need to focus on getting businesses to donate things so we can have the chinese auction. Maybe I can make something cool. And some people at work are willing to donate baskets... so a huge endeavor!! But I keep stressing the no cover thing so people will at least show up and they can participate in the RARE stuff at will... That way it won't be so shove down your throat believe in my cause damn you attitude!
And one more note... I found Bubble Bobble for playstation!! WOOT!!
