CHRIMMAS
STEP ONE
Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.
You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. and you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
I WOULD LIKE:
1. Money, lololololol.
2. The details/materials/knowledge to make my Sasori cosplay really amazing. Some of the people in my cosplay group were discussing (separately from each other, but to me) helping me improve the wings, at least, and there was talk of making them sturdier and possibly able to at least open and close, and I think someone mentioned hydraulics at one point? (More difficult, I know. :C)
3. Cable modem and wireless router.
4. For my mother to stop bitching about how much time I spend online.
5. SasoDei fic or art (art preferably from squeakyorm, though I am open to alternatives). Would prefer cablesex, but anything would be nice. MAKE IT GOOD. GO LOOK AT SQUEAKY'S SASODEI META ESSAY(S) FOR MY NEW STANDARDS. >:O
6. Anything from this guy omfg, but especially a dragon or a gryphon or maybe even one of the lemurs with wings fairy cats. >.> I like red and black and sand and gold and grey and purple. And sometimes green. *HOPES*
7. For my best friend/soulmate to not be full of issues, so much so that everything got put on hold. .____. (This one may be difficult. XD)
8. A new Akatsuki coat that hopefully doesn't suck. I like the one I made, but the collar is all wrong and the clouds are only so-so, and I really liked the one Squeaky had at CTcon (I'm mentioning Squeaky a lot in this, aren't I?), with the zipper up the front. >>
9. All Death Note manga except volumes three and four.
10. ...a pet scorpion. >.>
