So I have been in my apartment for two and a half weeks and I still love it. I guess that's a good sign. We finally have all of our furniture except for couches. I'm all unpacked by roommates still have boxes every where.
School is going to be hard this quarter. I am taking Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry and Differential Equations.
P Chem is basically chemistry, physics, and calculus tied up into one big painful bundle. Luckily, there is a total of 7 people in the class and the prof is great. Almost everything is group work and a lot of the due dates are movable.
Biochem will be fun I think. It is my major so I should enjoy it a bit...I like the prof. Only problem is that I have to miss an hour of lab each week to go to diff eq because the scheduling sucks. It won't be a problem next quarter though. Oh well.
Diff Eq will be hard. I'm not all that great at calculus, but I think I can do pretty well in the class as long as I stay on top of things. I don't really like the prof, but he's the only one who teaches the class. And he doesn't have us hand in any homework. Which reduces my motivation to do it, especially with all the other work I'm doing.
On top of classes, I have all kinds of fun jobs this year.
SBRI- My malaria lab job again. I like it there, and while it's only going to be 8 hours a week, it's a lot more experience then most people get.
O Chem Lab prep- I prep all the chemicals needed for Organic Chemistry labs.
CHEM 1100 TA- I babysit freshman taking an intro to chem class for the lab time. They didn't even know what the beaker was...
Grading- I get to grade all of my freshman lab reports plus I'm grading the O Chem lab reports.
So this is probably the busiest I've ever been in a quarter, and definitely my hardest classes. I'm excited for it though, haha.
