In Grandpas foot steps!

This morning, Jay and I woke up at the buttcrack of dawn and got ready. We walked down to where we were going to have breakfast, but they were just opening, so we walked back to the hotel. Eventually, more people came down and we walked to the resturant together. Now the food was good! It was just cereal, pizza bits and coffee.

Then we got on the bus for Rome!
We got dropped off at the Colusseum, toured through that, then walked up the street to see all the other ruins.
After seeing that we took the bus that dropped us off a the Vatican.
We waited in line for about 20-35 mins, mainly because our tour guide person knew how to cut lines at the Vatican, otherwise we would be waiting for over an hour! I saw dead Popes, the Sisteen Chapple and buttloads of artwork. When we walked out of the Vatican I was able to take the SAME pictures as my grandpa took while he was in WWII!! I was so excited about this! I was standing in the same place as my grandpa when he was almost the same age over 40 years ago. Amazing how some things never change.

We then took the bus to the Trivey Fountain, where if you throw a penny in the fountain with your eyes closed over your shoulder, you'll come back to Rome. So of corse I did it.
Then we walked forever to get to place where we ate dinner. We had pizza, Italian style! Which means, a slice of ham, some olives in one place, artichokes in another and...Bree cheese in the center. It was goooood!

Until Florence...
