TempleCon
I just found out about TempleCon yesterday from a friend of water_childe's.
It's an open gaming con, incorporating board games, card games, miniatures, role playing, and video games, and this year's theme is Retro-Futurism, encompassing Steampunk, Neo-Victorianism, Weird West, Dieselpunk, Decopunk, Raygun Gothic, and Cyberpunk. Sounds very counterculture/Maker-friendly. There's apparently even bellydancing.
It's down in Warwick, RI, the weekend of February 5-7. I'm thinking of dropping by at least to give it a look on that Saturday.
