(no subject)
my life has been a whirlwind in the last 2 months and I can't believe i'm still going.
I started working as Asst. Production Manager for Repercussion Theatre, the touring Theatre in the Parks company in montreal. 5 or 6 day work weeks until tour, which just started, and has been systematically rained on nearly every day. Now, it's noon set up and show at 7 and strike till midnight. daily. it's hard work, but it's good money and a good theatre credit.
I got in a major car accident last week... 5 cars involved though noone harmed and my jeep is only missing a front bumper. That morning, my car was also broken into, and speaking of broken things, my wooden bed frame shattered into a spectacular display of IKEA glory on saturday morning. So now i'm sleeping on the floor with my mattress.
On a slightly happier note, but slightly sad, I'm falling for someone. He's really one of the most amazing people I've ever met... and one of the first who I really feel like if I had the chance, I could date for a long time. His name is Chris and he's Benedick in my touring production of Much Ado About Nothing. We've been trying to spend time together as much as possible during the last few weeks of scary production time, and we've been semi successful. But, as I'm noticing, every night that I see him with Beatrice at the end of the play, I just fall a little bit more. And as he is "tricked" by his compariots in the first half into believing that Beatrice is in love with him, I see him running around the set up and acting silly and how much people love him and it just makes me really happy. he's REALLY good. I respect him as an actor and just also happen to like him. :-p Here's the sad bit: in a bit over a month, he moves to England to do a masters in classical acting at LAMDA. I knew from the start that he was leaving, but it's just kinda sad. But whatever, if the next month is any good perhaps we'll keep things moving...since I'll be there to study/work in less than 8 months anyway. (as well as an xmas/new years trip.)
Heather is leaving for her month and a half in southeast asia in about 3 weeks.. and then SHE moves to London as well. All this leaving... i'm not sure I can deal. But... I have to.
Anyway, I need to go get showered/dressed for today's show in NDG. let's hope for clear skies and a dry strike after the show :-p
