I was round fixing someones PC today, and installed firefox for them after the PC was all set up.
I explained all the benefits, and installed the 'IE tab' plug-in for them, to use as a last resort, if pages wouldn't load correctly, due to poor coding. I showed the differences between rendering transparency in png files, rss and other things.
It was really really satisfying, the person had a friend round who was fascinated with the whole thing, the ease of plugin installation, the variety of extensions available, tabbed browsing. The delight that, of their own accord, without anyone preaching at them, or telling them they 'must' use Firefox, someone was so pleased with the Firefox concept, pre-install, was great.
