87 - Woo College!

Junior year of College has started off extremely well. As I said before, my apartment is really nice, and I've been having a lot of fun with my roommates, they're great guys. As of late, I've been biking a lot (as normal I suppose) alone and with people, making one of the most beautiful Flat Hat's ever (that's not the one I'm talking about, this weeks issue isn't online yet), and having a good time with friends. Oh yeah, I've been going to class too.

As I'm sure many of you have heard, we had a bit of excitement yesterday. Due to our good friend Tropical Storm/Depression Ernesto, we had the day off of classes. I was unaware of this, so accordingly, I went to my class and the power got cut off, I figured class was probably canceled at this point and this was confirmed by a professor there. So at this point, any rational human being would realize that class was canceled for a good reason (35 mph sustained winds and extremely harsh rain) and go home and sleep some. Of course, we're talking about me, so what do I do? I go and wrap my camera as securely as possible in a plastic bag and take pictures of a deserted and flooded campus. It was awesome. Yes, the rain may have stung a lot when the gusts of wind made it horizontal, but it was worth every minute of it. Check out said photos here.

So this is my life in a few brief paragraphs. I was thinking about making a photo essay with the flooding pictures, but I decided I didn't have enough time. I bid thee adieu.
