The notion that goldfish have a memory of only three seconds is completely false. They have been trained to navigate mazes and can recognise their owners after an exposure of a few months.
I got two of them today. I'm calling them Aladdin and Jasmine - yeah, it's a theme. I don't even know if they're boys or girls, because they're goldfish and how do you even sex a goldfish?
Fish are easier to keep alive than things like puppies.
