why do I bother.
Seems the family member that asked for my marketing expertise went ahead and just did what they wanted to. Didn't get me the dvd's to critique like they originally wanted me to, didn't ask for help marketing/ merchandisisng them , again lthey ike had originally expressed.
Nope- they went and made an ass of themselves on youtube.
& they got about 2k worth of hits in 2 days.
Old school as they are they think that is is great for their business! And decided to put the dvd's straight into production. Sadly it's not. The youtube video is laughable. Actually I have had friends tweet on how pathetic it is. People watch it to laugh. It's is hurting their brand image. And when I told them what the metrics of a successful youtube video should be they just shrugged it off, and told me that their videographer advised them otherwise. That these numbers are good.
WELL DUH! You're cutting him in for a % of the profit of the DVD's you sell! He's just looking at the short term sell and grabbing his money with plans to run! I'm looking at the family name and our reputation 5 10 years down the line! But no. Listen the to skeeze-ix whose home phone is never on.......
Rather than the hardworking 29 year old with 7 years field expierence and the degree to back it up.

I am so mad I could scream. And most of all at my self; because I knew that this would probably happen. Why- cause it always does every time I help them. SO why do I do it you ask, knowing I will end up pulling my hair out? Simple- they are family. And I was raised you help family out when you can.
