I left the hotel at 5:45 this morning. Worked at the plant until 4:30 PM. Drove 2.5 hours home. Stopped to have dinner at the winery en route, which has become my new favorite eating place because it's a mecca of fantastic, tasty vegetarian foods in the middle of rural MN/IA. Good dinner, but I am exhausted.
I will say one thing, traveling for work quickly kills any sort of personal stigma I may have had about eating out alone. I'm pretty much at the point where I could plop down at a cozy table for one on Friday in a fancy date restaurant and not feel the least bit...anything except "hm. what looks tasty on the menu?" And actually I have. Except it was Saturday night. Cozy Italian place in Lafayette, IN. Long day at the plant definitely called for taking my time over drinks, dinner, and dessert. And I guarantee I was having a better time than some of the people on dates I observed.
