Despite what many think of when they hear the word 'addict', I honestly think you're a strong person. after all, only a strong person can admit such things not only to themselves, but to others!

i personally like reading those entries---probably because I'm a bit of a psychology buff and we're a notoriously nosy group.

"Despite what many think of when they hear the word 'addict', I honestly think you're a strong person"

And despite popular view, addicts are not weak people. Addiction has nothing to do with power of will. In fact, the more willful a person is, the harder it is for them to be able to admit that they are as powerless as any other human being, and that they can't 'control' addiction just like a person can't 'control' issues caused by abuse, trauma, etc (which is usually where most addictive needs stem from, especially child traumas or sexual traumas)

Didn't say ANY of this in a way that was a knock at what you said. Just stating factual bits about the illness (which is what I consider and most that work with the disease addiction to be: a mental and emotional illness).

blahblahblah stuff
but yeah, my being such a strong and willfull person is why i went some 12+ years of suffering from this and not doing a damn thing about it. because I thought I could handle it on my own
and no one can, of course
