I loved this paragraph the most:

All he says is, "No," quiet and flat as he tugs her zipper down and pushes her pants off for the second time tonight. It was more fun the last time, she thinks, kicking at the fabric as she tries to step out of it. It's caught, though, and she's useless, and when she kicks harder to no avail, Lee just sighs and barks quietly, "I got it, Kara. Just... stop."

Sigh. Them in a bit of a nutshell there.

(And the end is lovely too. Lee Adama just the way I like him.)

Today is what I like to call a "Facebook Monday." I have time, and internet connection, and not much that needs to be done by end-of-day. So, plenty of time to sit down and spend an hour writing a pilot ficlet. I can usually sit down and bang out a short, comment-length or ficlet-length story in a relatively short amount of time. Anything that is longer and more complex takes me AGES -- like the s4 fic that I swear I will write (bite me, THE PLAN, I will show you frakkin' retcon) just as soon as I manage to sit myself down long enough to work out all the details. I"m a little ADD, I guess -- if I get an idea, I have to sit down and do it RIGHT NOW if I can, and if I can't get it all out RIGHT NOW, it takes me forever.

Thanks. :) The way that they can usually rally to support each other, even if there's some bad blood between them, is one thing I love about those two. Glad this little snippet rang true for you.

Just lovely. I haven't read any non-AU K/L in ages (couldn't bear the reminder), but this gets right into that bittersweet achy space they were in, in that timeframe. (And also nicely bridges the slap and that moment when Lee walks in on Kat and Kara.) Thanks for the pilot!fix! :)

Oh, your icons kills me. So true. Too much history between those two.

Scar is one of my favorite episodes, but it's always a little hard to watch, because they're (or I guess Kara, specifically) so hurty in it.
