i got a part-time job offer in berkeley. starting "sometime in the fall" doing "we're not really sure yet."

they are writing up a job description. i'm writing up a job proposal. we'll take it from there. do i want to move out here?

yeah, i hear from people who grew up out here that there ARE seasons, they are just "different" (said in a very defensive tone, which makes me suspicious)

i should be couch hopping for part of the early fall back east... so hopefully i'll at least get my fill of foliage. if i move i'll bring some fall with me for you both.

no, i'm clear that i would go nuts staying around hampshire. i don't want to be that kid. if i pick up my old job to make some money before heading out west, i'll be living in conway with my cousin.

You know you have to do it, Kate. Cuz if you don't...you'll always wonder "what if?". My official opinion is that life is about making sure the "what if?"s don't piss you off when you're 96 years old sitting in a rocking chair. You may very well end up coming back East, but at least you'll know that you tested the pacific waters. Make the most of it while you're out there.
