I'm home, I'm safe, and I had a really neat week. It's way, way too much to write all of it, but I'll try to sum it up.

I spent a decent bit of time playing with kids...they're so cute. :) It was fun, especially the sweltering capture-the-flag game with all the bugs flying around. After that was usually dinner and washing up before the evening dance. Down at the Folk School it was Dance Callers Week (i.e. they were teaching classes on how to call dances), so there was a dance every night. They do what's called contra dancing, along with a little bit of square dancing, and the occasional waltz or swing. Contra dancing is something like a smaller and slightly more active square dancing, and involves lots of spinning. In any case, it was a great excuse to run around and get hot and stick and sweaty.

I also met some really, really amazing people. Sterling and I stayed with a wonderful guy named Robert. He opened his house to us, and he does this all the time for people. There were easily six or seven different people who stayed in his house this week alone. I've never been made to feel so at home so quickly. It was really great.

There are also some really good musicians down there, so I got a chance to play some music, too. Of course, I didn't know any of the songs they were jamming to, but it was still fun. Very simple chord progressions, but they still manage to make it sound interesting.

All in all, though, a really nice week. I even got a solid two or three days worth of work done. And, since I did that, I'm going to go to Cornerstone next week, just for the hell of it. :)

Peace.
