Sexay Day
As the title would indicate, my day was great. Work and such was generally, y'know...whatever. It was just a rather average work day. Then I went home for my disc game, which was a lot of fun. We only lost 13-7 this time, and there were stretches of a few points where we played together quite well. I caught a goal and threw for another one, so I was pretty happy with how I played. My defense is still a bit lacking...a couple of throws just went right over my head, and I was just in a bad spot...need to work on that, and do some freaking running. I really need to work on the old endurance.
Anyway, after we finished playing, I ran into this girl Lauren who played on my summer league team last year, and we got to talking a bit, and she invited me to the Poultry Days tournament this weekend. Indy is actually sending a team to Poultry Days, but I didn't really want to go because it's generally a 20+ person team, and I don't like playing with that many people. But Lauren's going to go pick up with a Michigan team and asked me if I could come along, so I'm going. It was a bit odd, because she was much more animated and, well...touchy than she ever had been with me before. She acted rather like we were really good friends, when we'd probably never talked more than half a dozen times. She's nice, and I'm sure she'll be fun to hang out with, but I can't help this general sense that she's hitting on me. Which doesn't happen to me very often, so even though I'm not really interested, it's just sort of nice to have a girl show some interest.
Curious...my roommate has a fairly nice stereo system, and I've only heard him listen to it once...maybe he just uses it when I'm gone.
Also tonight, Ben asked me to go to Florida with him and Philip, probably the first week of August. Now, I'm really, really excited about that because I've barely had any chance at all to hang out with them since I've come back to school. I've seen Ben a bit, but Philip maybe once, and he's a lot of fun. And I think Sam will be down there, so maybe I can hang out with her a bit. So not only am I going to North Carolina for a week this summer, it looks I'm going to Florida!
