WINO

Yesterday I trained in housekeeping as part of my supervisor training.  It annoyed me that every second the woman who was training me (who has been a housekeeper for 12 years!!) kept saying "See this takes time... this is how long it takes... so when you are calling for a room" as if I have no clue that housekeepers work HARD.  Listen.  I'm a smart girl.  I've worked in hotels before, I've cleaned rooms before.  I understand how hard it is.  But when a guest is yelling at me because checkin is at 4:00 and it is now 5:00 - what the fuck do you expect me to do?  Smile and nod?

So yesterday I cleaned rooms with Norma Jean from 8:15-2:15.  Then I let people yell at me from 4PM - 10PM.  I was a that hotel for 14 hours.  When I got home I drank alot of wine (thanks Devin for leaving awesome stuff behind in my house - like that half bottle of chardonnay and the full bag of crab legs and the lean cuisine butternut squash dumplings I ate tonight) and opened a present from Liz (THANKS!) and passed the fuck out.  Today, when 4:00 came around and people started to yell I went upstairs and helped clean three rooms.  The look on their faces when I came up there... "You are here to help me?"  "Yes ma'am, what can I do?" was priceless.

I'm drinking too much wine lately because I am working SO hard.  Good thing I got 18 bottles of my favorite wine at wholesaler costs.

I went to New York and Company today with a coupon that Devin got in the mail that said something about getting $30 off if you spent $75.  I was expecting to buy some collared business shirts for under my uniform (SO EXCITED I GET TO WEAR MY OWN CLOTHES).  New York and Company apparently is not as business oriented as they used to be and is now all trendy and spring-like.  But they were having this awesome clearance sale on heavy yoga type pants.  So I picked out three of them that looked/felt good that were originally close to $40 but were on sale for $14.  I went up and, trying to do my good deed for the day, said "I know i can't use this for clearance stuff but can you please give it to someone who can use it?"  and she said "oh, they changed that.  You can use it now for redline merch."  AWESOME.  I got 4 pairs of pants, one pair of earrings, one pair of sunglasses, and one purse for $45.  PIMP.

That was the best part of the day.
Tomorrow I work internship 9-2 and work 3-11.  Tuesday I work internship 9-7 and go to dinner with Joanne.  Then finish up my swap stuff.
On Wednesday I am meeting up with my swap partner to exchange stuff so I'll prob spend the morning finishing all that up (unless I'm with the ACS learning how to recruit teams which I am hoping I will be doing) and then meet up with her and then serving dinner at the Ronald McDonald House.  Thursday we are oversold.  I'll probably end up walking my first person at the Don, which will SUCK.  Why do I have to become supervisor during the one month where everyone yells and wants bigger rooms and hates their vacation?!
lol.  Summer is going to be so awesome/easy.
