I would sadly be so behind this - I really, really, really want to be a Columbus fan, but I can only be sort of masochistic, so I'm waiting for at least some signs of life.

Anyway, I spent all of work waiting to hear the news and then frothed at the mouth when I realized I would have to wait some moooore. Reserving judgment about Parise -> Hawks until it happens, since I'd want to know who was getting shipped off to clear out cap space~

I have the chorus of a song about how columbus ruins everything, so i would actually love it if they didn't ruin life and I didn't have to finish that song (Nash. don't ruin life, okay?)

...but. The hawks have cap space? Like. 7.7 mil. Plus Morrison, O'Donnell, and Brunnette aren't coming back, already. Lepisto's signed with the KHL. So it should be doable without shipping out? i think. I am not pretending to understand this mess, I'm just trusting capgeek on this one

Yep. This is true re cap space. Parise is amazing and the thought of a parise/tazer maybe even Kane line drives me batty.

You are hilariously adorable. Can you even imagine that line? With duncs and seabs on d? Even if it's just on the powerplay that is like, the sickest line in hockey. Completely insane.
