1. I wear flipflops/sandals year round - in the snow, rain, whatever, I just don't like wearing shoes.
2. On the day I was born, the doctor delivered eight boys and one girl (me!). Confused, he forgot which baby was which and consequently told my father he had a son - Dad nearly named me "James" but thank God Grandma looked in the nursery before he signed the birth certificate!
3. My favorite toy EVER is Legos, and yes, I still play with them.
4. I once dated a South African just for his accent.
5. I sewed through an index finger with a commercial sewing machine (I was a sailmaker). That fricking hurt.
6. I may be an uber-tomboy, but I am obsessed with my hair. I don't dye it, don't curl or blowdry - it's the perfect shade of strawberry blond and long as hell. My brother, my mom and all her siblings have exactly the same color and type of hair (the Blond Squad!), but my Dad is 100% bald as hell and we tease him mercilessly.
