(Afp)Police and Anti-Bush Demonstrators Riot in Argentina

Mar del Plata, Argentina, Nov 4 (Prensa Latina) Thousands in the streets peacefully protesting the Americas Summit and the Bush agenda ended battling police after some demonstrators threw rocks at multinational company offices in this Argentine resort.

The demonstration turned violent following a peaceful anti-Bush protest of more than 10,000 at the Summit of the Americas, when reportedly some protestors threw stones at multinational corporation offices.

Sources from the Human Rights Office in Mar del Plata report police using explosives, but without live ammunition, tear gas and rubber bullets against protestors who, at last report had set fire to at least six buildings.

Spokes persons for the demonstrators said they are not attacking small businesses or private vehicles, but are resisting police with barricades and rocks.

Meanwhile, the cause of the riot, US President George W. Bush, is reportedly holed-up safely in the Sheraton Mar del Plata, surrounded by concrete and steel barricades and a view of the golf course rather than the street.
