c'mon stand up and be a woman

so what does it mean really? when someone says "be a man and do it"?

this is the the picture i get:
be big and burly.
do pissing contests.
arm wrestle.
play video games.
take out the trash.

but i think when a woman says it she means:
take care of your baby/family!
say you're sorry!
fix the car.
defend me!
don't let him talk to me like that!

so. you see.
being a man means alot of things to different people. i wish people would just stop saying it.
it confuses us.

and when does anyone ever say "be a woman"?
never.
because we can't go there.
