Had a meeting with my advisor yesterday. My second semester schedule consists of, um, EIGHT CLASSES. Granted, one of those is my voice lesson, but it's for credit, so it counts. Still. EIGHT.

Strangely enough, the only thing that's super intimidating out of all eight is the philosophy class I'll be taking. Among other things, it entails, and I quote, "3 essay exams (about 12 pages each) and a public exposition." That's directly from an e-mail from the professor. Eek. Anyway, it's normally a junior or senior course, but I need it for my creative writing major and it was the only 4-credit class without a prerequisite that fit into the busy schedule that my other major had created. Hahaha. Oh, I'm SO headed for a burnout.

Here's the kicker: the class is in Medieval Thought. How AMAZING is a class in medieval thought?! Who even offers a course on that? I'll also be glad to get a tough class out of the way freshman year, while I'm not overwhelmed with myriad thesis papers, etc. Not to mention...the guy who teaches it is basically my RA's hero and I'm told he's a great lecturer. I'm psyched.

Well, I guess it's time I turned my attentions back to the three papers I have due next week for Various Classes Not Half As Cool As Medieval Thought.

(Oh, and a quick note to the comment whores I've neglected: One of these days I'll start up again. I'm still reading; I'm just a lazy commenter. No worries.)
