new beginnings of all kinds!
Oh, hey guys.
Went a-shopping with Cindy, Taryn, Jen, Cassie and Rachel today, fairly locally, for homecoming stuff...not much came of it for me, you know me and shopping...but after that, Taryn and Cindy and I hopped on the El and went "downtown" in search of adventure!!!...which we didn't find. But there WAS a thrift store, and a confectionary, so we went to those. And again, it was shopping...but it was nice to be out of the dorm for a while. Seriously. I haven't been to Chicago-Chicago since the jazz festival incident. Anyway, we're also going out to dinner tomorrow to celebrate a whole month of being here. Hooray. (I'm also celebrating less than a month until I get to go home again. Hooray for that too.)
The past couple of weeks have had their ups and downs, *cough* one notable "down" being Thursday night, but I feel that many (if not all) of the bad situations have been resolved. So, I'm going to try my hardest to quit being emo and start being chipper. (Only not really "chipper," because I hate that word. Maybe a pleasantly nondescript "happy.") In any case, I'm still battling homesickness, but gradually making more friends, I think. I still miss my NHers like crazy. Give me phone calls. Write me letters. Leave me comments. Etc.
Well, I do believe it is time for laundry and then more homework. Strangely, for the first time in my life, ever, I begin my homework EARLIER than 11:00 the night before. And I'm fully responsible for my laundry. And I go to the gym for an hour and a half every day, and I eat healthy food, and I get more than 5 hours of sleep every night. What's happening to me?!
Also, my apologies to Nolan. Normally, I wouldn't even DREAM of a punctuated name, and up until very recently I've always had a bit of a personal vendetta against underscores...but in this particular case, I felt some sort of emphasis was needed. ...Besides all that, it's my money. :D
