awake again
a coldness enthralls my heart
this day could only get warmer
as i saw it start
the sun arose
the young leaves swayed
to you
a visit i should have paid
so out of bed i came
to start the day anew
but there was one thing i missed
you
so as i dressed
got woken up
and filled my daily morning cup
i thought of you,
so mild and fair
and hoped you today
i would not scare
then i came to a place
we were supposed to meet
and my cold icy heart
began to melt and beat
and then i saw you,
across the way
your hair in long tendrils
and your walk, a sashe'
as you came close,
your skin touched to mine
i thought "nothing in this world could be so fine"
but yet again,
i was proved wrong
as you kissed me,
soft, and long
then we broke our sweet embrace
and left this wonderful, magical place
and so it ended as it did start
my heart...
began..
to freeze
