dad: i know these questions offend you, but have you gained a bit of weight lately?
jill: ....um..
dad: because i was looking at you from this angle today and i sort of noticed.
jill: ....why does it even matter anyway?
dad: well you worked so hard to get rid of all that weight and i figured you just might be concerned about it.
jill: i feel fat all the time anyway, dad...whatever.
