Hi guys!
I miss you all so much. Me and jennie are coming to visit in a little less then a year. woot!
This summer I've been working at this pizza place and theres this really nice costa rican who keeps hitting on me and its not fun. I feel bad for him , but because my spainish sucks I haven't been able to make it clear that I'm not interested in him.
So the question for you beautiful spanish speakers is:
how do I say "Its not you its me" in spanish? And, is that expression commonly used in spanish.

ANSWER:
yes! you can say that in spanish! and it goes something like this--->
"NO ERES TÚ, SOY YO"
but that's not going to make the poor nice puerto rican guy stop hitting on you. maybe he's in love with you... in that case you would have to go like this::::
"YO TAMBIÉN TE AMO (insert name here), PERO MI ESTADO EMOCIONAL ACTUAL ME IMPIDEN DEMOSTRARTELO Y A LA LARGA TE HARÉ SUFRIR"

Yes My friend Liz, that phrase is common here and as Rene said, that might help or might not, but also you can say:
Me Agradas como amigo, y no me gustaria que se pierda la amistad
(I like you as a friend, and I wouldnt like this great friendship lost or something like that)
And Rene's sentence is Hilarious!!
