2007. what a crazy, amazing year. This year will stay close to my heart for many reasons. i celebrated my 21st birthday the only appropriate way… in vegas. I was hooked on that city the moment the plane landed. Then I proceeded to make several trips down to auburn that started off to see friends and turned into seeing a boy. A frat boy, someone I don’t think anyone expected. It was fun and there are some things I would have done differently, but it was a huge growing experience. Spring brought a new tattoo and a lot of soul searching.
I learned that Belmont always finds a way to remind me this where I need to be. the end of a tradition at love circle started a completely new and unexpected chapter of my life. After a month of chance encounters, a certain boy decided to finally kiss me. He has taken my heart, and Ill gladly let him keep it as long as he will have it.
This summer was busy, but fun. I went on a beach trip with my bestest, and received facebook messages all the way from japan. I spent my first summer in Nashville in summer school and interning. Considering I had classes at 7:30 am, I am sure I stayed up way too late every night. I loved every second of it though. The end of summer brought the epic road trip to Canada with my bestest. There are not words to really describe the craziness of that trip, but it was so much fun and I would do it all again… only with daryl though. 24+ straight hours in a car does some crazy things to people, and only she can handle what it does to me.
Fall brought many nights on 14th avenue south. I have found a houseful of people that I feel like I can call my friends. This past semester was one filled with group projects and lots of finance, but I survived it. I managed to find time take Patrick down to the beach for my moms birthday, and everyone had a great time. The best and hardest thing was finding out I am going to LA next semester. Even with all the mixed emotions I have felt about moving to California for a semester, there was still plenty of fun to be had. This Halloween was probably my favorite in college. Football season could have been better, but a 6th straight win over bama will keep me happy!
Belmont West is going to such an amazing experience, but that feeling of starting all over again for a semester is looming and very scary. Especially, since I will be leaving a large part of my heart behind. I am so lucky to have an amazingly supportive boyfriend who has helped me not be afraid. All in all I have amazing feelings for and I cant wait for it to start!
