Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara

I saw The Fog of War at the Capri earlier this evening. Great film, 3.5 stars; I’d say the same for the score. It is an interview with Robert S. McNamara, secretary of defense during Vietnam among other prestigious titles, and a documentary on modern warfare of sorts. As you would expect, the focus is on Vietnam and the Cold War, but World War II and his personal life are dealt with as well. Although McNamara is usually made out to be a cold-hearted bastard, you find yourself developing quite an affinity for the man, the gory matter he’s discussing aside. I defiantly recommend it.
