John McCain recently demonstrated his "foreign policy experience" by either failing to recognize or deliberately insulting the Prime Minister of Spain.
John McCain gave an interview to an English language radio station in Miami. The interview started with questions about relations with various South America countries, then moved on to questions about Spain and Spanish Prime Minister Zapatero.

That was certainly the interviewer's impression, for she followed up with a gentle reminder that Spain was a country in Europe. As Spanish newspaper El País put it, "In the best-case scenario, [his answer] demonstrates his ignorance with respect to Zapatero.
