School Musings: I made a 90% on my last Philosophy test. This pretty much assures me of around an 82 to 87 for a final grade. I still haven't started on my research paper. Last time we met he sort of hinted about pushing the paper back so that would be super cool if that happened. I skipped Psych Friday because my grade is pretty much locked down in that class also. Most likely, I am going to finish with an A and will be exempt from taking the final as long as I do reasonably well on the next test. As far as Intro to CJ, at this point it is physically impossible for me to make lower than an 80%, even if I were to take a 0 on every assignment till the end of the year and I could still manage a 50% on the final. Since I won't be getting any 0s and I'm sure I can manage above a 50% on the final, my A or B is safe. Only class up for grabs is math, I'm running about a week behind on my lessons. I so need to come in on the afternoons I don't work this week and put in some lab time. I went to meet my advisor last week so I could get permission to register for the next semester. He was supposed to go into the system and mark me so I could go ahead. It is still not done so thinking I'll have to go say, "Uh hey, remember me?" because I want to register for my classes already. Ugh.

Weekend Activites: My initial order from Columbia House came in so I watched all three Final Destination films in order on Saturday. I also watched one of my imported Asian Horror flicks, Infection. Pretty good movie, though I wasn't a big fan of the ending. I don't mind a twist at the end, in fact I think it makes for a good ending tactic, I just don't like the whole "twist within a twist" type subplots where the ending gets so complicated you forget how you even got to that point. Like most people, "The Ring" started my Asian Horror phase and I'd say I have the bug pretty good considering I just ordered like 7 DVDs from Columbia House, plus am getting another 5 at a great price from a person on the Asian Horror LJ community I belong to. I also went to pay additional funds on my Wii this weekend. I owed around $300...not $270 like I previously had thought. Anyway, now I only owe $202. Probably will go buy there again today and pay it off considering I have a better idea of my finances for the next two weeks now.

Music Fandoms: Stuff I've been listening to lately.

I love Luke Caraccioli's vocals. The only reason I know of his existance is because he is now infamously known as the guy who replaced Marky Chavez in Adema...for a year. He quit the band back in the fall of 2005 to return to Rewind Yesterday. Anyway, I liked the stuff he did with Adema and still think his vocals are unique.

I'm probably going to get a rib from at least one person on my f-list for this and that's okay, I can live with it, just be sure to listen to a song first before knocking it. I'm sure that a few people reading this will remember the all-female pop group Dream. Anyway, the ex-lead singer for that group, Holly (i.e. the one that had the talent) is now in a rock band with a much different sound where she does backup vocals. I'd say their sound is pretty mellow and eclectic, it somewhat reminds me of Chino Moreno's (lead singer of Deftones) side project band, Team Sleep.
