It is amazing that 10 days can go by so fast. Here are some of the best moments:
Chung's house the first night in town. Good wine, good hookah, good conversations, great people. I can't remember what political debate Brian and I got into but it was definitely a solid one.
Meeting an Anthony Hopkins look alike while waiting for Stephanie at the airport.
Seeing Stephanie! Going out for a Friday night on the town with drinking, dancing and collectively singing classic rock hits...followed by a trip to the hot tub!
Tearing down Desotos with free drinks all around until the liquor board forced us out to the street. Continuing the party with a posse 20 deep over to irish car bombs and van gogh shots (which if you haven't had, you must try). Cat calls and honks thanks to the sexy company we keep.
Wandering through Baltimore on a ridiculously nice evening for the end of October, we're talking t-shirt weather. It was beautiful.
Finding little pieces of Portland smattered through baltimore, i.e. the papermoon diner and that funky hawthorne-eque street with an awesome comic book store.
Catching a goodbye breakfast with Alex which consisted of gigantic scrambles and a free, delicious cinnamon bun. Then getting a double hitter on him as we left (up top Zack).
I almost forgot about Zack's Grandma. My god that woman is something else. And his cousin's family was freaking adorable. We will ignore the fact that his grams called my voice 'husky.'
Seeing Peta is always a treat. And taking a shot with him that didn't result in vomit was pretty spectacular as well. That night was chock full of dancing and shots and more dancing.
Spotting the erector set. It took Cherie months.
The general merriment that surrounds all of Zack's friends was so much fun. From 'James the womanizer' (who was actually kinda sweet after given a chance), Tom my political partner in crime, Mike D who has an amazing ability to imitate voices (maybe not quite up to the danny level but he's working on it), Cherie and Brian who hosted an amazing brunch, Chung and Alex who are always inviting in one more and Charlie who came through like a champ with the futon...ok, so I guess there are far too many to make a list of all of them but you get the drift. They are all hella chill people and are welcome to come kick it out west whenever they feel like it.
And of course Zack was an amazing host, putting up with me for an entire week and then some.
Did I mention God of War. That game is TIGHT. and of course there are the american flag fanny packs which I just realized I left in Zack's care. I'm sure he's thrilled.
I am not ready for work tomorrow.
