Oh my god, that is pretty much everything I wanted out of that prompt. I adore Vala and I love John and Cam getting their time together, and the ferris wheel - that entire bit was just so perfect.

Favorite bit:

“I moved a little,” she tells them before either man can say anything. “I talked to that nice man who makes the Ferris wheel go. He’s such an interesting person.” She smiles and wiggles her fingers in the direction of the operator’s booth, and Cam gets that too, her making it last for as long as she could, and he doesn’t even know how to be thankful for her and her strange brand of understanding and caring and giving.

I absolutely melted at that. I could just see it in my head, Vala's little wave and the look that would be on Cam's face. Thank you so much for this! :D

Wow, thanks so much! I haven't written Vala all that often, which is silly because she's so awesome. And hey, if you find you liked Cam/John, I've for sure got a lot of that floating around here :D Thanks for reading and I'm glad you liked it!

Favorite, well, that's a tricky thing, because the one I like the most isn't all that popular and I'm not sure why, so I'll give you the link and you can decide whether or not you want to read it - Storms In The Skies We Live In.

As for stories with Vala - there's a standalone called Helping Hands, and then a two-parter that starts with Bonding and goes to Next. And there will eventually probably be a third part to that as well, but that's what there is for now.

In my head is something like this:

Teal'c is expecting Vala Mal Doran to visit tonight. She had mentioned to him a plan of her involving Cameron Mitchell and Colonel Sheppard, and a Ferris wheel, and he had nodded to her and wished her well but had declined when she had invited him along. He has been to a fair, once, and once is quite enough.

When the knock comes, excited against his door, Teal'c opens it to find Vala Mal Doran in the hallway, holding some sort of stuffed wild animalin an unrealistic color. He raises an eyebrow.

"Got you something, Muscles," she says happily, shoving it towards him. Teal'c plucks it form her hands and studies it. "It's a tiger."

"I believe tigers are orange and black," he tells her, turning it this way and that. He's quite certain that he's correct.

"Mine is green," Vala Mal Doran shrugs as she pushes past him into his quarters. "And let me tell you, they had other ones, too..."
