My year in review...

...makes me look even more insane. I didn't know that was even a thing.

My fiction written and posted in 2010 - 267,804 words.

This doesn't include the stuff I've written but have yet to post, or stuff that hasn't been revealed as mine yet. It's probably another, oh, 25K or so. Rounding.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Um, more. Considering that when the year began I hadn't written fic in more than a year and hadn't planned on getting back into fandom. So, yes, more. :D

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
Storms In The Skies We Live In. It's the first Stargate fic I wrote that I actually liked. It's John/Cam, the first I ever wrote, and I'm really proud of it for some reason. I don't think most people have read it, actually, since it's from so long ago. But *I* really like it! :D

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I wrote my first porn this year, so I'd say a definite yes to this. Terrible Idea was the first time I really wrote porny porn, though it wasn't the first sex scene I wrote. I've clearly gotten over my hesitance to write that sort of thing by now, though You might have noticed. :D

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Finish Virus Verse, to be sure. And maybe actually get around to finishing Always Searching. That one might not happen.

My Best Story of the Year
I don't think I'm qualified to answer this question, honestly. I've done some stuff I'm more proud of than other stuff, but haven't posted anything I thought was really bad. I guess I'll ask anyone reading this, then. What do you think was my best work this year? What was your favorite?

Story Most Underappreciated by the Universe in My Opinion
I might have to say Storms In The Skies We Live In again, but I have a soft spot for that story. Um, maybe Lead The Way From All Is Lost, too? I'm kind of going with a review count per number of words type of thing here. I'm not sure.

Most Fun Story
PENGUIN CRACK ONE AND  TWO. That is all.

Most Sexy Story
Um… the military kink verse, maybe? That's got some sexy in it. This one and this one and this one.

Hardest Story to Write
I'd think it's a tie between the one I'm currently writing, because I'm trying to make it perfect, which is really, really difficult (it's for an exchange and I want it to be awesome) and the Lorne/Bates noncon I wrote. Hm, or maybe Monster. That was hard to think about.

Biggest Surprise
Writing at all, honestly. I love to do it, but I'd been in a sort of slump for more than a year. I'm glad I was able to get back into it. And I'm incredibly glad to have found such an amazing community here on LJ. It's unlike any other writing community I've ever been part of. I love you all :)
