I love this verse. Every time you write a story for one of your 'verse stories, I find myself thing it's my favourite. You just spoil me for choice!
I also love the way you write the Cam and John pairing. You make them feel sooo right together. But then you also make the John/Evan pairing seem so right. See what I mean? Spoiled for choice. More....more...more please. Pretty please?

Cam laughs. “I never wanted to marry my Momma,” he says. “I love her dearly, but sweet mercy, I’d never survive being married to a woman like her. She’d beat me black and blue.”

John raises an eyebrow. “I can, too,” he points out.

In my head, that's an obtuse reference to them getting married, given that Cam's survived being with John so far. Ok, those dots probably only connect in my head, but this whole 'verse kinda makes me go all soft and happy on the inside. The two of them seem so very *right*, in this setting. Love it!

Thanks dear! Teat line is very much Cam - that's why he does a lot of things. And the pockets thing just seemed very John and Cam to me :)

I love that Cameron's reason for choosing his profession is the same one as in canon even if the profession is different.

There are definitely parallels between canon!Cam and this Cam. Glad you liked it :)
