I've always been drawn to the AU fics where Tony and Steve met and fell in love in the 1940s, when homosexuality was forbidden and they had to keep their relationship a deeply hidden secret. What I want is yet another OMGIloveyousooomuchbutnoonemustknow! fic, where Tony is one of the developers of the Project Rebirth, but he met Steve a good deal before they even thought of actually using the serum, so Tony and Steve are deeply committed by the time the war begins.

Preserum Steve, postserum Steve, I don't care, as long as I get some fluff with a tint of angst thrown in, about the love that dare not speak it's name.

A Steve who lost Tony during Civil War (either he killed him himself or Tony died on the courthouse like in that one What If? or Tony took the bullets for Steve) and a Tony who lost Steve during Civil War meet when they are recruited into an Exiles team.

Want to see absolutely HUGELY angsty guilty clingy, co-dependant and unhealthy-beyond-the-extreme romance. After that, the story can go wherever the potential author wants, I just want to see a Steve and a Tony who've lost each other being given an unlikely second chance and taking to it with an unhealthy co-dependency.

Jarvis calculates that the most logical and steadying mate for his master is Captain Steve Rogers. Captain Rogers is level-headed, loyal, steadying, good-hearted, and best of all Tony actually respects and listens to him. Dummy, being the ever-loyal robot, agrees. Besides, Steve always defends him in front of Tony!

So weird things start happening around the mansion. Steve and Tony get locked into small and inconvenient places, all of the showers mysteriously turn off except the one in Tony's bathroom, Tony's armor malfunctions and forces him to ask Steve for help getting out of it, the laundry shreds up and/or shrinks their clothes, etc.
