Oh god, that was so heartbreaking and gorgeous at the same time! Poor Steve! D: I love the end, when they curl up together, that was beautiful. And I loved that Steve went after Grace first -- he knows Danny's priorities all right!

Thanks dear :) He certainly knows what Danny's priorities are - it's the only thing that kept him from diving for Danny himself.

This was everything I hoped for, and more, and so so perfect! I don't even have words right now, it was just gorgeous. The way you wrote everyone so perfectly, and you fit in my favorite trope, and seriously the thought of Steve crying just breaks me, and you had Danny put him back together so perfectly.

The details were so perfect, Steve protecting Grace, Steve understanding what Danny means and them shooting Hesse together, Danny's arm having to be taped to his side so he stops hugging people, and then that ending. Just perfection.

For a moment there when you wrote that Hesse "pulled the trigger" I was all "AAAaaaahhh! You didn't warn us this was a death fic! sob, sob..." and then poor Steve was crying because apparently you didn't warn him this was a death fic either. So many lovely character elements here - Steve protecting Grace, and Danny snarking at Hesse despite his vulnerable position (fuck you with a fork - LMAO and I can just hear it in Danny's voice), and how they reunite in the end. Loved it - thank you!
