this country will be its own demise.......
Seriously, they are holding themsleves back.
I am the postmaster for this location. We didn't get mail this week because of an instance that happened last week. You see, one of the cool things about mail in america is that no one can open it except the person that sent it and the person tha t opened it. We have DHL picking up outbound mail from this location and taking it to the capital where it is then flown off in to the military postal system. The Local national DHL folks (which by the way is not the yellow-vanned DHL delivery folk you know and love) have done a pretty good job of taking care of our stuff. They were pulled over last week on the way back to the capital and refused to let the cops open our boxes. THEY WERE ARRESTED, YO! The cool thing is the cops still never went through our stuff.
So now we are waiting on their government to come up with some new process to make our stuff uninspectable so no one goes to jail. Unfortunately many people here are so stupid that that the cops will probably not care what some letter from their government says.
I FINALLY got my money back. Of course they wait until after I manage to get my rent paid the difficult way, owing someone a money (the check is in the mail that won't go anywhere thanks to this fucking government/stupid policemen.)
Since changing shifts I am really liking the job and am sort of enjoying myself at times. that said, I'm so done with this country. It is evident that the local government is getting in the way of progress in every way.
