I don't know how I managed to strike this godforsaken F5 key (which refreshes the webpage in Internet Explorer for those who don't know) while I was writing my entry, but I did, and as a result, everything that I typed was lost. Oh fiddle sticks...
I had meant to spend a majority of today working on my Flash project, but I made the mistake of assuming that this PC would allow me to install Flash on it. It looks like I'm going to have to pull yet another all-nighter working on school projects unless I want to take another ten-point penalty for turning it in next week, which sounds quite appealing actually.
Now if I had received my laptop by now, I would have never had to worry about this. According to Dell's handy-dandy order-tracking system, all they have to do is box and ship the damned thing, and yet the estimated shipping (not receiving) date is March 10, 2006. So it takes a month to box and ship a fucking laptop? I sure as hell hope not.
Otherwise I have been pretty bored and listening to The Advantage a lot. I had an idea for a band that plays not only NES covers but also songs from games on other systems i.e. the Sega Master System (Astro Warrior would be hella awesome. That's probably the first time I've used the word "hella" this year, and maybe the fourth in my lifetime) Everyone and their mothers want to cover fucking Contra and Castlevania like they're the only two games in existence, and unfortunately I had not played a game in either series until I learned what an emulator was (N64 Castlevania doesn't count). So the nostalgic factor in listening to songs based on those two franchises is non-existant. But Marble Madness? Goonies 2? Bomberman? Rock on. Even though Zelda is pretty well covered (no pun intended) in the covers and remixes department, I do enjoy the Advantage's version of the Zelda 1 dungeon music. The drums make it better.
I better post this before something else messed up happens and I lose it. What a tragedy that would be...
