Speech Two: What is this technology stuff?
This world really is most odd. People have told me that this is the ‘future’. It certainly seems full of strange things. Some of them, machines that move on their own, horseless carriages, images of people in boxes? I am most interested in finding out how such things came into being. They’re so very odd. Why it seems like something out of a play.
[And don’t even get her started on the witchcraft idea.]
I am afraid I must ask for assistance as I am quite unsure of my way around such a strange and foreign place. If anyone is skilled with such things, or would be willing to help me understand more about this strange world, I would be most grateful. Or if that would be too great an inconvenience, then perhaps someone would allow me to have access to books on the subjects? I am an avid reader and it would be a great help to have something to aid me as I become accustomed to this place. Even, if it is only through reading about it.
