Speech Three: The only "date" she is likely to ever go on

[She woke up to find herself in a strange place. It was one of those "cars" she'd been told about.  She didn't remember getting into one though. And as she glanced up to see the drive in movie screen ahead of the car she had to stiffle a gasp. Keeping a calm head she started to look around and realized she wasn't alone.]

[Cynric was already trying the door, curiously poking at the door handle, trying to figure out why it wouldn't open.

When he heard the voice, he turned around.]

Oh! You're awake. Didn't want to wake you up, thought I could get out of here without any problem. Doesn't seem to be the case, though! Do you know what might have happened?

[someday_a_queen]

No I'm afraid not. Do you know where we are?

[dodo_master]

[He continues to try the windows and panels in the car, looking for a way out.]

I'm afraid I do not! Nor do I know where I got these clothes. But that - [points at the movie screen] is new! I've not seen an outsdoor theater like this before!

Oh, it also appears we're locked in. But I'm fairly certain I can get us out of here.

[someday_a_queen]

Is that what that is?

[Looking over.]

Do you think you can? How will you do that?

[dodo_master]

[Crawling into the back seat now, poking at the doors and windows, rummaging through the seats.]

If there's a way out, I'll find it! But it seems locked tight for now.

[his head pops back up, looking at you curiously. Your voice is familiar.] Have we met?

I believe we might have spoken on the telephone. I am Elizabeth Tudor.

[dodo_master]

[His eyes grow wide for a moment, then he grins.] Oh! Your Highness! A pleasure to finally meet you, even if the circumstances are strange. No worries, there's no way this thing can hold us forever.

[He goes back to trying the doors and windows, frowning at them.] I wonder what they're trying to accomplish with this.

[She nods, slightly off put by his excitment but not showing it.]

I could not say. I take it this is not a common thing here?

[dodo_master]

[When Cynric is NOT excited about something, you know there's a problem.]

Hmm, well, the town is prone to do strange things every once in awhile, yes. Since we both just woke up like this, I imagine that this is one of those times. The seem to really want to keep us here! These doors and windows are locked tight. I wonder why? To watch the movie, maybe?

Is that what that is?

[Does not like admiting ignorance but honestly. Is pretty freaked out by the giant screen.]

Why is it...so large?

I don't know! But it's pretty neat.

[Watches as the giant blob monster eats some teenagers. he laughs.] Well that is just ridiculous. Hey look, there's some food in here! [He crawls back up into the driver's seat, holding a container of fries.] I thought I smelled something. How very strange! I wonder if it's safe to eat.

.....how do you know that is food?

[dodo_master]

They make it at that restaurant! The diner. [He tries one of the fries.] Not bad! A bit... greasy. There's also these! [Hands you a milkshake.]

I don't understand why they needed to knock us out and lock us in the car like this. I don't think I really get it. [He thinks on this while trying his own milkshake.]

It is most odd.

[Is examining the milkshake very thoroughly before drinking some.]

Hmm, not bad! I wonder what's in it. [Pops the lid open, looks at the milkshake... and has no clue.] I like it, though!

[Idly pulls on the door handle, still so confused as to why they're locked in. He just... never stops moving, really.]

Do you suppose we're stuck in here until the film is over?

for some reason I find the mental image of Elizabeth Tudor drinking a milkshake to be hilarious

[Is examining it more.]

It is good though.

[Looks back at the screen.]

I suppose that is a possibility.
