so my lovelies...
LIFEHOUSE! yes, they are brilliant. i figured why not throw it out there? I've been a fan for a long while since their previous album and that one hit wonder (that is not really a one hit wonder, now is it?): hanging by a moment. so, i have been playing their last album, 'who we are' endlessly, and i can't get enough of it. it's not just that it's good music, but the lyrics are so beautiful, the writing is insane. this band is a group of geniuses. they hurt so much and love so hard and it's all here. it's literally like a diary this album. i can feel that as opposed to other supposed 'this album is really my confessions, my personal album.' i don't deny that, but this time, i totally get it. the singing is beautiful, the music is awesome, what more can i say? they are too brilliant. too good. ...is that possible? sure, why not. :)
next topic of the day: operation disc drop.
if you live in canada, you probably have a good idea of who george stroumboulopoulos is. last name give a hint? anyways, for those of you who don't know, he used to be a vj on muchmusic, and now he has his own awesome news show, the hour, on the cbc (canadian news channel), and anyway. lol, he's very political, and he has his opinions, but he's smart. he's a big music guy, and he came up with this brilliant 'campaign' you could call it. anyways, i love these kinda things so i figured i should post it.
basically, operation disc drop involves you or anyone putting together a mix cd of any songs you want and dropping it ANYWHERE: school, work, coffee shop, etc. someone will pick it up and discover all these new songs-possibly gain some favourites. if you drop one, comment here, and if you pick one up comment too. it's such a great idea, and i plan on doing it with my favourite songs of all time, lol. i shall post the list ones i've decided on...and then maybe someone will fall in love with it...? :D check out the site and do it! (...i'm sure lifehouse will make the list...possibly more than once).
